Hadir juga Kapolres Pangandaran, Kepala Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Pangandaran, Kepala Dinas Sosial dan Pemerintahan Desa, Camat Langkapalancar, Kepala Desa Bangunkarya, unsur Akademisi Pendamping Desa Bangunkarya dari STP/ENHAII Bandung dan Universitas Padjajaran (Unpad).
Festival durian musim ini tidak hanya dihadiri oleh warga Pangandaran, melainkan juga wisatawan dari luar daerah, seperti Bandung, Ciamis, Tasikmalaya, dan sekitarnya.
Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Pangandaran juga mencicipi semua jenis durian yang ikut dalam Festival Durian Lokal Desa Bangunkarya.
Dalam sambutannya, Bupati Pangandaran, Jeje Wiradinata, mengatakan, festival durian tahun depan akan diadakan lebih besar dan meriah.
“Saya ingin ke depan kita jadikan event yang lebih besar, juga jadikan event pariwisata,” katanya.
Sementara Wakil Bupati Pangandaran Ujang Endin Indrawan, mengatakan, dengan adanya festival durian lokal, maka durian khas Desa Bangunkarya akan semakin dikenal. Sehingga festival ini turut dalam mempromosikan wisata Pangandaran.
