ZONALITERASI.ID – Tim Mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Komputer Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Kampus Cibiru meraih Juara 1 Nasional ‘Kompetisi Internet of Things (IoT) 2023’.

Kompetisi ini digelar oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) Institut Telkom Surabaya, pada 26 sampai 27 Juli 2023.

Dalam ajang ini Tim UPI Cibiru tim UPI Cibiru berhasil menarik perhatian dewan juri. Inovasi teknologi yang mereka ciptakan dinilai memberikan kontribusi positif dan solusi bagi tantangan masa kini dan masa depan.

Direktur UPI Kampus Cibiru, Prof. Dr. H. Asep Herry Hernawan, M.Pd., mengapresiasi pencapaian prestasi yang ditorehkan oleh tim ini.

“Alhamdulillah Tim Mahasiswa Prodi Teknik Komputer UPI Cibiru menjadi Juara 1 Nasional. Ini menjadi kado terindah di akhir masa jabatan,” katanya.

“Prestasi ini adalah hasil dari kerja keras dan dedikasi tim mahasiswa dan pembimbing meraka. Semoga prestasi ini dapat memotivasi para mahasiswa lainnya untuk terus berprestasi dan mengharumkan nama baik universitas,” sambungnya.

Diketahui, IoT Competition 2023 ini merupakan salah satu inisiatif dari Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM) Institut Teknologi Telkom Surabaya (ITTS).

Internet Of Things Competition mengajak mahasiswa dan siswa tingkat SMA/SMK/Sederajat untuk berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam bidang teknologi dan konektivitas digital.

Lomba ini bertujuan untuk mendorong generasi muda Indonesia untuk berinovasi dan menghadirkan solusi teknologi yang berkontribusi pada perkembangan masyarakat dan lingkungan. Peserta didorong agar mengusung proyek-proyek yang kreatif dan berpotensi memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat dan industri di masa depan.

Tema yang diangkat pada kompetisi ini adalah “Technology for Future Opportunities” dengan subtema yang mencakup berbagai sektor, yaitu:

4. Smart Plantation,

5. Smart City.
