ZONALITERASI.ID – Penyandang tuna netra yang hendak membaca, mengkaji, dan mendalami Al-Quran kini tersedia Al-Quran Braille. Namun, kendati sebelumnya penyandang tunanetra sudah bisa membaca Al-Quran, mereka harus belajar lagi untuk bisa membaca Al-Quran braille ini.
Ternyata, perbedaan Al-Quran biasa dengan Al-Quran braille bukan hanya pada tekstur yang timbul agar bisa diraba, melainkan ada beberapa perbedaan lainnya.
Menurut pengurus yang juga pengajar di Yayasan Taman Tuna Netra di Jalan Haji Jamat, Buaran, Serpong, Tangerang Selatan, Rizal, untuk mengenal huruf Arab braille membutuhkan waktu hingga satu bulan lebih.
“Ya satu bulan lah dari Iqra,” ujar Rizal, dikutip dari Tribunnews.com, Senin, 27 November 2023.
Berikut perbedaan Al-Quran biasa dengan Al-Quran braille:
1) Huruf Arab Braille Hanya Enam Titik
Huruf braille, untuk aksara latin maupun Arab itu memiliki sistem yang sama, yaitu berupa pola enam titik timbul dengan tiga titik menurun dan dua titik menyamping, seperti pola kartu domino.
Jadi, huruf Al-Quran braille bukanlah huruf Arab yang dibuat timbul agar bisa dibaca.
Pembeda dari setiap hurufnya adalah pola titik yang timbul tersebut. Dalam sistem braille, tanda baca juga menjadi titik timbul seperti huruf.
2) Tanda Baca Dibaca Terpisah dengan Huruf
Dalam sistem penulisan braille, huruf dan tanda baca ditulis bergantian, sehingga merabanya pun dipisah. Seperti pada ‘Bismi’ menjadi ‘Ba, kasroh, sa, sukun, mim, kasroh’. Hal tersebut juga yang membuat Al-Quran braille menjadi sangat tebal.
3) Al-Quran Braille Dibaca dari Kiri
Tidak seperti membaca Al-Quran biasanya yang dari kanan karena mengikuti pola tulisaan Arab, membaca huruf Arab yang sudah diterjemahkan ke dalam braille, membacanya berubah jadi dari kiri.
4) Berat Kertas 160 Gram
Kata Rizal, pengurus yayasan Taman Tuna Netra yang juga memproduksi Al-Quran braille, seharusnya pencetakan Al-Quran braille, standardnya menggunakan kertas seberat 160 gram per lembarnya.
Namun, kertas tersebut sudah sulit ditemukan. Yang digunakan saat ini untuk produksi adalah yang beratnya 150 gram.
Tebalnya kertas akan membuat tekstur titik timbul huruf braille akan lebih mudah diraba.
5) Al-Quran Braille Dipisah per Juz
Karena sistem braille yang mengharuskan pemisahan antara huruf dan tanda baca, serta penggunaan kertas dengan standard berat dan ukuran tertentu, membuat Al-Quran braille menjadi sangat tebal.
Hal tersebut yang membuat Al-Quran braille dibuat per juz, karena jika disatukan sebanyak 30 juz langsung, maka tebalnua bisa mencaapai setengah meter lebih. (haf)***
