ZONALITERASI.ID – Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek) menggandeng 204 perguruan tinggi/kampus dalam penyelenggaraan program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka (PMM) tahun 2023. Rencananya, PMM angkatan ke-3 tahun 2023 ini akan mulai dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus mendatang.
Penandatanganan Perjanjian Kerja Sama (PKS) antara Direktorat Pembelajaran dan Kemahasiswaan Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset, dan Teknologi dengan perguruan tinggi penerima program PMM digelar di Auditorium Gedung D Kemendikbudristek, Kamis, 15 Juni 2023.
Program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk belajar di kampus lain dalam negeri selama satu semester. Pada program ini, mahasiswa juga diajak untuk mengenal keberagaman Nusantara melalui mata kuliah Modul Nusantara. Tujuannya agar mahasiswa memiliki pemahaman yang komprehensif terhadap nilai-nilai budaya, kebangsaan, dan kebinekaan.
Pelaksana Tugas Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset, dan Teknologi, Nizam, mengungkapkan, hingga angkatan ketiga ini, sudah terdapat 24 ribu mahasiswa yang mengikuti program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka yang berasal dari 500 lebih perguruan tinggi asal dan 228 perguruan tinggi penerima.
Pada program PMM ini, seluruh mahasiswa diberikan hak dan kesempatan yang luas untuk menimbah ilmu dan ekosistem baru dalam lingkup perguruan tinggi pilihan mahasiswa dari seluruh wilayah Indonesia.
“InsyaAllah di semester depan ini kita akan mengirimkan 18 ribu mahasiswa untuk berbagi pengalaman dan menimba pengalaman di kampus tujuan, dan nantinya membawa pulang pengalaman tersebut untuk disampaikan kepada rekan-rekannya,” ujar Nizam.
Nizam mengapresiasi seluruh kampus yang telah menjadi perguruan tinggi penerima maupun perguruan tinggi pengirim mahasiswa PMM. Ia berharap lewat program ini bisa terbangun persahabatan antarmahasiswa, antarperguruan tinggi, dan antardosen dalam berbagi ilmu dan praktik baik.
Direktur Akademi Pendidikan Tinggi Vokasi Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Vokasi, Beny Bandanadjadja, mengatakan, PMM tahun 2023 ini merupakan kali pertama bagi perguruan tinggi vokasi.
Menurutnya, keikutsertaan pendidikan tinggi vokasi ini menjadi momentum emas bagi kampus penyelenggara pendidikan vokasi dalam rangka memperkuat komunikasi dan saling bertukar pengalaman serta inovasi pembelajaran.
