ZONALITERASI.ID – Pemerintah memberlakukan aturan IMEI (international mobile equipment identity) untuk memblokir ponsel ilegal sejak 18 April lalu. Pemblokiran ponsel ilegal baru efektif berjalan pada awal Juli. Agar tidak dirugikan, kita harus berhati-hati trik penipuan pada ponsel ilegal.
Berikut ulasan cara membedakan ponsel dengan garansi resmi dan ponsel ilegal:
1) Di kardus ada stiker IMEI
Pertama, periksa kardus ponsel lalu cari stiker IMEI. Jika ada keterangan “Dirakit di Indonesia” atau “Diproduksi di Indonesia” dapat dipastikan ponsel itu bergaransi resmi.
2) IMEI Ponsel black market (BM) tak terdaftar di situs Cek IMEI
Setiap ponsel legal memiliki IMEI yang telah terdaftar di basis data Kemenperin. Pengguna bisa melakukan pengecekan di situs Cek IMEI (https://imei.kemenperin.go.id/).
Untuk mengecek IMEI ponsel, bisa dilihat pada dus perangkat. Cara lain dengan menekan *#06# di ponsel.
Atau dengan mengklik Settings – Cari About Phone (Tentang Ponsel) – Cari kode IMEI untuk ponsel Samsung.
Kadang kode ini tersembunyi di menu lainnya. Pada ponsel Xiaomi, pengguna bisa mencari di settings – Cari About Phone – Status – Kode IMEI. Untuk mengecek IMEI di iPhone, bisa dilakukan dengan mengklik Setting (Pengaturan)> General (Umum)> About, nomor IMEI tertera di laman tersebut.
3) Ponsel BM tak dapat akses jaringan seluler
Pembeli harus meminta penjual langsung menguji masing-masing slot kartu SIM di ponsel. Apabila mendapat sinyal seluler, maka ponsel tersebut dipastikan merupakan ponsel legal.
4) Ponsel legal memiliki garansi resmi, bukan garansi toko atau garansi distributor
Garansi resmi adalah ponsel yang mendapatkan garansi dari produsen atau pemegang merek. Istilah garansi resmi juga lazim dipakai untuk ponsel yang digaransi oleh mitra distributor resmi produsen.
Apabila ada kerusakan ponsel, Anda tinggal membawa ponsel ke pusat servis resmi Acer Indonesia. Herry mengatakan ponsel Acer dengan garansi TAM dan BTPN akan disebut bergaransi resmi Acer oleh pemilik toko.***
