Tips Pendekatan Belajar Selama PJJ untuk Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus

ZONALITERASI.ID – Pelaksanaan belajar daring/pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) di tengah pandemi Covid-19 bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) butuh pendekatan khusus. Untuk itu, orang tua perlu memiliki strategi agar anak tetap mendapatkan hak untuk belajar.

Psikolog Cikal, Dini Rahmawati mengatakan ada beberapa strategi yang dapat diterapkan orang tua untuk memotivasi ABK tetap semangat dalam proses belajar saat ini.

Berikut langkah yang bisa dilakukan orang tua untuk membangun semangat, komunikasi, dan motivasi dalam proses belajar daring bagi ABK:

1) Bangun kebiasaan belajar harian

Menurut Dini, langkah pertama yang bisa dilakukan orang tua dengan ABK ialah membuat jadwal khusus yang diprioritaskan untuk belajar membangun kebiasaan belajar setiap harinya.

“Jika anak ikut kelas daring, pastikan untuk melakukan rutinitas tertentu untuk menyiapkan anak. Misalnya, dibiasakan untuk mandi, menggunakan baju rapi, dan sarapan sebelum kelas online dimulai,” tuturnya, dilansir Kompas.com, Jumat (6/8/2021).

2) Suasana rumah yang menyenangkan

Setelah membuat belajar sebagai kebiasaan harian, orang tua dapat menciptakan suasana rumah yang menyenangkan untuk belajar. Sehingga anak dapat menjalani proses belajar daring dengan lebih bermakna.

“Orang tua dapat menyiapkan ruangan atau pojokan dalam rumah yang dibuat dengan suasana yang nyaman untuk membantunya belajar. Tak perlu keluar biaya, bisa sekedar merapikan ruangan dan memindahkan semua perangkat belajar di suatu tempat agar mudah dijangkau,” tambah Dini yang juga merupakan tim akademik Cikal.

3) Komunikasi erat dengan guru

Menurut Dinit, apabila orang tua dan anak menghadapi kendala dalam belajar, orang tua dapat membangun komunikasi yang erat dengan guru atau pendidik yang memahami program, dan kebutuhan murid dengan kebutuhan khusus untuk melakukan konsultasi.

“Saat belajar di rumah orang tua diberi tanggung jawab untuk mendampingi anak belajar. Orang tua dapat berkomunikasi secara berkala dengan guru untuk memastikan bahwa anak berkembang sesuai dengan kemampuannya dan mendapat masukan mengenai cara yang baik untuk mendampingi sesuai kebutuhannya,” jelasnya.

4) Bangun semangat anak

Setelah membangun komunikasi dua arah, strategi terakhir adalah orang tua dapat membangun semangat dan memberikan dukungan yang kuat pada ABK agar tetap termotivasi belajar.

“Selama proses pembelajaran di rumah, orang tua bisa mendampingi anak untuk memastikan anak memahami proses belajar yang dilakukan dan juga membangun semangat dengan ikut serta dalam mendampingi anak melakukan kegiatan sekolah serta menciptakan dukungan sosial yang bisa membantu anak untuk tetap termotivasi belajar,” ujarnya.***
