ITB, UGM, dan IPB University berhasil meraih Anugerah Perguruan Tinggi Terinovatif dari Kemristek/BRIN 2020, (Foto: Istimewa).

ZONALITERASI.ID – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) dan IPB University berhasil meraih Anugerah Perguruan Tinggi Terinovatif dari Kementerian Riset dan Teknologi/Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (Kemristek/BRIN) 2020.

Pengumuman Anugerah ini dilangsungkan bertepatan dengan Peringatan Hari Kebangkitan Teknologi Nasional (Hakteknas) ke-25 dan Inovasi Indonesia Expo 2020 pada 10 November lalu. Pemberian anugerah langsung disampaikan oleh Menristek/BRIN, Prof. Bambang PS Brodjonegoro.

Menristek mengungkapkan, anugerah ini diberikan dengan tujuan untuk mengapresiasi prestasi perguruan tinggi dalam membangun sistem inovasi.

“Pemerintah mengapresiasi perguruan tinggi yang memberikan solusi bagi permasalahan bangsa dan menjadi terobosan dalam penguatan ekonomi dan daya saing nasional. Itu dilakukan perguruan tinggi melalui penguatan kebijakan, kelembagaan, sumber daya, dan jaringan inovasi dalam menghasilkan produk inovasi,” kata Bambang.

Menyikapi prestasi itu, Rektor ITB, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah mengatakan, anugerah tersebut terus mendorong ITB membangun sumberdaya manusia dan berupaya melakukan inovasi-inovasi untuk bangsa.

“Harapan kami ke depan, kami bisa membangun kebersamaan yang lebih kuat lagi dengan pemerintah, dunia usaha, dan masyarakat, untuk semakin menghadirkan teknologi ITB ke tengah-tengah kehidupan masyarakat dan bangsa Indonesia,” ujarnya, dalam siaran pers, Kamis (12/11/2020).

Ia menuturkan, dalam lima tahun ke depan, ITB akan fokus pada bidang-bidang strategis seperti big data dan artificial intellegence (AI). Hal itu dilakukan sebagai kunci untuk mendukung ekonomi digital, iptek kesehatan, iptek energi dan pangan, iptek nano dan bio, serta iptek kebencanaan.

“Kami percaya bahwa dukungan pemerintah terhadap program-program ITB, sangat penting dalam membantu kami untuk meningkatkan sumbangsih yang semakin nyata dan optimal,” ujarnya.

Ketua LPIK-ITB, Sigit P Santosa menambahkan, anugerah yang diraih ITB menandakan kerja keras membangun ekosistem inovasi sejak 2015 telah membuahkan kinerja produktif melalui pembangunan empat klaster priorias inovasi. Yaitu dalam bidang transportasi dan infrastrutktur, energi dan lingkungan, teknologi pangan dan kesehatan, serta teknologi informasi dan komunikasi.

“Ke depannya, dengan ekosistem inovasi ITB yang semakin baik, diharapkan para inovator ITB semakin melebarkan jaringan kolaborasi dengan industri dan institusi domestik serta internasional sehingga produk inovasi Indonesia dapat menjadi tuan rumah di negara sendiri,” ujarnya.

Sementara Rektor IPB University, Prof. Arif Satria, menyampaikan apresiasi kepada segenap sivitas akademika atas kerja kerasnya dalam menghidupkan atmosfer inovasi di kampus IPB University.

“Prestasi ini merupakan hasil kerja keras seluruh sivitas akademika. Pencapaian ini kian menguatkan posisi IPB University sebagai kampus dengan tagline Innovation with Integrity,” katanya.

Penghargaan lainnya yang diterima ITB adalah Habibie Prize yang diberikan Kemenristek/BRIN kepada Prof Dr Euis Holisotan Hakim MS, Guru Besar Fakultas Matematika dan IPA (FMIPA) di Bidang Ilmu Dasar dan Prof Dr Yasraf Amir P MA, Guru Besar Fakultas Seni Rupa dan Desain (FSRD) di Bidang Ilmu Kebudayaan.

Adapun penghargaan lain yang diterima IPB University yaitu Penghargaan Habibie Prize 2020 Bidang Rekayasa yang diberikan kepada Guru Besar IPB University bidang iklim, kehutanan, adaptasi dan mitigasi perubahan iklim, Prof Dr Daniel Murdiyarso.

Anugerah Perguruan Tinggi Terinovatif dihadiri oleh enam Menteri Kabinet Indonesia Maju, gubernur, akademisi, peneliti, mitra industri dan pemerintah daerah baik secara online maupun offline. Undangan yang hadir secara online diberlakukan protokol Covid-19 secara ketat. Lebih dari 300 peserta dari seluruh Indonesia mengikuti acara ini secara daring. (haf)***
