PANDEMI Covid-19 belum berakhir. Dalam situasi darurat ini guru dituntut berpikir dan kreatif dalam melaksakan Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar (KBM). Jangan sampai KBM tersendat gara-gara pandemi.

Sementara itu, semua siswa pun dituntut tetap mengikuti pembelajaran tanpa harus masuk sekolah seperti saat situasi normal.

Saat situasi begini, KBM secara online-lah (daring/dalam jaringan) yang dianggap paling tepat dalam penyampaian materi kepada siswa. Sistem pembelajarn ini dinilai praktis, singkat, dan efektif.

Namun, dalam KBM online ini muncul permasalahan baru bagi sebagian siswa. Terutama siswa yang letak sekolahnya di polosok desa, kurang mengenal bagaimana cara mengoperasikan IT (perangkat pendukung pembelajaran online). Sementara di sisi lian, mata pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komputer yang berisi materi seputar IT justru dihapus. Padahal, mata pelajaran IT merupakan pintu gerbang siswa mengenal IT, termasuk teknologi internet.

Selepas melihat kondisi itu, muncul pertanyaan, kenapa mata pelajaran TIK yang beberapa waktu lalu menjadi pelajaran yang wajib diikuti siswa justru dihapus? Padahal, di saat pandemi seperti saat ini, pentingnya mata pelajaran TIK sangat terasa.

Ya, penghapusan mata pelajaran TIK adalah kemunduran dalam pendidikan. Di zaman modern ini, yang serbamenggunakan teknologi, penggunaan teknologi tidak bisa kita hindari. Bagaimana bisa siswa dapat menggunakan aplikasi KBM online atau aplikasi untuk ujian yang berbasis internet, semua itu karena mata pelajaran TIK.

Kenapa siswa yang berada di perkotaan yang dijadikan tolak ukur dalam meluncurkan sebuah kebijakan.

Untuk siswa di perkotaan wajar jika menggunakan IT. Segala sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung siswa fasih menggunakan IT tersedia lengkap. Namun, kondisi berbeda dialami siswa di pelosok. Kemampuan mereka dalam menggunakan IT sangat minim.

Kami selaku guru yang mengajar di pelosok, sangat mengharapkan mata pelajaran TIK ini dikembalikan. Mata pelajaran tersebut sangat penting untuk membuka wawasan siswa terhadap perkembangan IT.***
