ZONALITERASI.ID – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) menandatangani dua memorandum perjanjian (MoA) dengan Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) untuk Fakultas Kedokteran dan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) untuk Fakultas Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra, di Jakarta, Selasa, 18 Juli 2023.
Acara itu juga dihadiri Duta Besar Malaysia untuk Indonesia Dato’ Syed Md Hasrin Tengku Hussin; Syed Hussin; Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Pendidikan Tinggi, Prof. Dr. Azlinda Azman; Naib Canselor UKM, Prof. Dato’ Gs Ts Dr Mohd Ekhwan Toriman; dan Plt. Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset, dan Teknologi Kemendikbudristek, Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN.Eng.
Naib Canselor UKM, Prof. Dato’ Mohd Ekhwan Toriman, mengatakan, kerja sama antara UKM dengan Unpad telah berjalan selama 17 tahun. Awalnya berlangsung dalam program kerja sama ijazah dokter UKM-Unpad pada tahun 2006/2007.
“Program ini dijalankan selama enam tahun, yaitu tiga tahun pertama proses pembelajaran dijalankan di Unpad dan tiga tahun kedua akan dijalankan di UKM dari program ini mahasiswa akan menerima dua ijazah yaitu sarjana kedokteran dari Unpad dan Ijazah Doktor Perubatan dari UKM,” jelasnya, melalui keterangan di Jakarta, Rabu, 19 Juli 2023.
Rektor UPI, Prof. Dr. H. M. Solehuddin, M.Pd., M.A., menyambut baik adanya kerja sama tersebut. Kolaborasi ini diharapkan ke depannya semakin diperluas. Sangat mungkin nantinya akan ada kerja sama dalam bidang lain sehingga satu dan lainnya saling mendapatkan pengalaman akademik yang baru.
“Melalui program dua negeri ini insyaAllah mahasiswa bisa mendapatkan dua ijazah: UPI dan UKM melalui satu program. Ini sangat bagus karena memberikan pengalaman kepada para mahasiswa. Mendapatkan kekayaan pengalaman karena dalam satu program mendapatkan pengalaman belajar di UPI dan di UKM juga bagus untuk standarisasi internasional,” terangnya.
Wakil Rektor Bidang Organisasi dan Perencanaan Unpad, Prof. Drs. Yanyan Mochamad Yani, MAIR., Ph.D., menyambut baik kerja sama Unpad dan UKM yang telah berjalan sejak 17 tahun lalu. Dalam kerja sama saat ini, Unpad mulai Juli 2023 ini menyiapkan bidang spesialis.
“Kita akan secara bertahap nanti akan ada yang disebut dengan unicredit, unicezit, itu adalah beberapa mata kuliah yang ada di kampus UKM begitu juga sebaliknya ada di Unpad,” ujarnya. (des)***
