ZONALITERASI.ID – Kendaraan listrik Gadjahmada Airport Transporter Electric atau yang dikenal dengan GATe besutan peneliti UGM resmi masuk ke dalam katalog elektronik atau e-katalog nasional. Dengan masuknya produk GATe pada e-katalog mempermudah konsumen untuk melakukan pemesanan dan pembelian produk ini.
Peresmian produk GATe pada e-katalog nasional dilaksanakan bersamaan dengan peringatan Hari Kebangkitan Teknologi Nasional (Hakteknas), di Fakultas Teknik UGM, Kamis, 10 Agustus 2023. Peresmian produk ini dilakukan oleh Rektor UGM, Prof. dr. Ova Emilia M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG(K)., Ph.D. dan Direktur Fasilitas Riset dan Rehabilitasi Pendidikan LPDP, Ir. Wisnu Sardjono Soenarso, M.Eng.
GATE merupakan kendaraan listrik yang dirancang khusus untuk dipergunakan mengangkut penumpang di area bandara. Kendaraan ini dikembangkan dengan sumber energi listrik yang disimpan dalam baterai bertipe litium.
Ketua pengembang GATe, Dr. Ir. Muh. Arif Wibisono, S.T., M.T., D.Eng., IPM., ASEAN.Eng., menjelaskan, kendaraan listrik GATe dikembangkan sejak tahun 2019 melalui skema Pendanaan Riset Inovasi Produktif (RISPRO) LPDP. GATe dibuat menggunakan motor listrik sebagai tenaga penggeraknya. Kendaraan ini memiliki kapasitas angkut untuk 6 penumpang dengan kecepatan maksimal 25 Km/jam.
“Kendaraan ini berbasis listrik dengan energi yang tersimpan pada baterai, dengan motor penggerak sebesar 4 KW. Kemampuan jelajah GATe sekitar 50 km dan bisa diperpanjang dengan spesifikasi baterai yang lebih tinggi,” katanya, Kamis, dilansir dari laman UGM.
Dia menyebutkan, pada tahun 2020 produk ini telah digunakan di Terminal 3 Bandara Soekarno Hatta sebanyak 3 unit dan Bandara Yogyakarta International Airport sebanyak 1 unit. Selain itu, GATe juga telah diujicobakan di kawasan kampus UGM dan taman wisata Candi Borobudur.
“GATe saat ini dikembangkan dengan tiga varian. Pertama, kendaraan dengan atap yang bisa mengangkut enam penumpang. Kedua, kendaraan tanpa atap dengan kapasitas empat penumpang. Terakhir, kendaraan dengan atap dengan kapasitas empat penumpang,” sebutnya.
Arif menambahkan, hadirnya kendaraan listrik GATe disambut baik oleh pasar. Itu terbukti dengan masuknya sejumlah permintaan dari industri yang berada di Sulawesi, Solo, dan Jakarta.
Satu unit GATe dengan kapasitas enam penumpang dipasarkan seharga Rp200 juta, sedangkan GATe dengan kapasitas empat penumpang dipasarkan Rp180 juta.
“Targetnya dalam setahun bisa memproduksi 100 unit GATe. Sementara saat ini sudah ada tujuh unit produk yang selesai dibuat,” pungkasnya.
Produk Ramah Lingkungan
Rektor UGM, Prof. Ova Emilia, mengapresiasi peluncuran GATe dalam e-katalog nasional. Dia berharap kendaraan listrik yang dikembangkan peneliti UGM ini dapat memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat sekaligus menjadi kebanggaan bangsa.
“GATe ini adalah produk inovasi yang ramah lingkungan yang menjadi bukti UGM berkomitmen melakukan penelitian yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat. Kami akan terus mendukung pengembangan kendaraan ini,” ucap Prof. Ova.
Menurutnya, pengembangan GATe merupakan wujud komitmen UGM dalam menjalankan kegiatan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi yang telah menjadi amanah bagi institusi pendidikan.
“Kami akan terus mendukung pengembangan kendaraan ini,” katanya.
Sementara Direktur Fasilitas Riset dan Rehabilitasi Pendidikan LPDP, Wisnu Sardjono Soenarso, menyampaikan komitmen untuk mendukung anak bangsa menjadi lebih maju dan berdaya saing melalui pembiayaan riset. Salah satunya seperti dalam pengembangan GATe LPDP memberikan pendanaan riset untuk pengembangan GATe dalam periode 2019-2023 sebesar Rp 11 miliar.
Dia berharap nantinya GATe dapat terus dikembangkan dengan versi terbaru dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan di pasaran. Misalnya, bisa dikembangkan dengan lebih ringan dan lebih cepat lagi.
“GATe ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan komponen lokal (Tingkat kandungan Dalam Negeri/TKDN) sebesar 34 Persen. Dengan masuk di e-katalog harapannya bisa mempermudah pemerintah maupun dunia usaha melakukan pembelian,” katanya. (des)***
