ZONALITERASI.ID – Bunda PAUD Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Sonya Fatmala mendukung penuh kebijakan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek) terkait masa transisi anak didik dari jenjang PAUD ke sekolah dasar (SD) harus dilakukan dan berlangsung secara menyenangkan.
“Kebijakan kemampuan calistung (baca, tulis, dan hitung) tidak menjadi syarat wajib masuk ke jenjang SD harus disambut dengan baik. Nanti itu bagaimana pembelajaran calistung ini di jenjang SD dikemas dengan cara yang menyenangkan,” kata Sonya, dilansir dari Jabar Ekspres, Sabtu, 10 Juni 2023.
Menurut Sonya, saat ini kemampuan yang dibangun pada anak di PAUD masih berfokus pada calistung. Bahkan, kemampuan calistung menjadi satu-satunya bukti keberhasilan dalam belajar dan menjadi syarat penerimaan peserta didik baru (PPDB) SD/ MI/sederajat.
Untuk itu, lanjut Sonya, pemerintah melalui program Merdeka Belajar Episode ke-24 ingin mengakhiri miskonsepsi tersebut, sehingga masa transisi anak didik dari PAUD ke SD lebih menyenangkan.
“Jadi konsep-konsep mereka belajar di PAUD yang menyenangkan itu tidak berubah ketika mereka masuk ke SD. Jangan sampai nanti ketika masuk SD itu suasana belajarnya menjadi menegangkan menjadi beban untuk mereka,” katanya.
Sonya menjelaskan, transisi peserta didik PAUD ke SD tentu harus disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan anak. Misalnya, ketika belajar calistung di kelas 1 SD dikombinasikan dengan hal yang lain.
“Misalnya ketika belajar menghitung tidak langsung menggunakan angka melainkan menggunakan gambar buah-buahan. Selain itu, misalnya saat melakukan pembelajaran diselingi dengan nyanyi-nyanyi jadi suasana ketika belajar di awal masuk SD tetap menyenangkan,” ujarnya.
Ditambahkannya, dengan suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, sehingga berdampak pada perkembangan kognitif peserta didik menjadi lebih baik.
Gerakan Transisi PAUD ke SD yang Menyenangkan juga bertujuan untuk memastikan anak-anak usia dini yang tidak berkesempatan mengikuti PAUD dapat memiliki hak yang sama untuk dibina dan mendapatkan kemampuan fondasi atau kemampuan dasar secara menyeluruh.
