ZONALITERASI.ID – Dekan Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi (FST) UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Dr. Hasniah Aliah, M.Si., berharap FST terus berkontribusi terhadap kebangkitan umat. Caranya dengan mencetak cendekiawan muslim yang tidak hanya beriman kepada Tuhan tapi menguasai ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi.

Pernyataan itu disampaikan oleh Hasniah Aliah saat perayaan Dies Natalis FST ke-17 yang diinisiasi Organisasi Kemahasiswaan (Ormawa) di lingkungan FST (Dewan Mahasiswa, Senat Mahasiswa dan Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan), di Aula FST, Senin, 26 Juni 2023.

“Kami merasa bangga dan terharu dengan perayaan ini, sebab kami tidak memikirkan perhelatan ini. Kami dari jajaran dekanat sangat mengapresiasi sekaligus mengucapkan terima kasih kepada kalian semua yang telah mempersiapkan acara ini sebaik-baiknya. Dekanat terus memikirkan program-program yang bermanfaat untuk dosen dan mahasiswa, sampai tidak memikirkan perayaan. Jadi ketika kalian berinisiatif merayakannya, sungguh kami mengapresiasi setinggi-tingginya kepada kalian semua,” ujar Hasniah.

Ia memaparkan, FST sejak berdiri pada 2006, merupakan proses transformasi dari IAIN menjadi UIN sebagai syarat berdirinya sebuah universitas harus ada fakultas umum.

Sebab itu, bersamaan dengan perjalanan FST yang sudah menginjak usia ke-17 tahun ini, animo masyarakat begitu tinggi untuk mendaftarkan anak ke fakultas ini.

“Di usia 17 tahun, FST ibarat anak yang lagi ganteng dan cantik-cantiknya. Jadi tak heran banyak yang meliriknya,” terangnya.

Hasniah berharap mahasiswa lulusan FST bukan hanya menguasai ilmu-ilmu sains dan keteknikan tetapi juga bisa mempraktikkan aspek-aspek bidang keagamaan, misalnya bisa mengurus jenazah dan menjadi imam shalat.

”Masyarakat di luar tidak peduli kalian mengambil jurusan apa, tapi masyarakat hanya mengetahui kalian lulusan Universitas Islam. Sehingga tanggung jawab itu tidak menjadi beban, tetapi menjadi tantangan untuk membuktikan bahwa kalian menjadi bagian dari FST yang diajarkan secara keilmuan,” tuturnya.

Di akhir masa baktinya sebagai Dekan FST periode 2019-2023, Hasniah memohon maaf sebesar besarnya apabila sebagai pembantu belum bisa memberikan pelayanan yang terbaik kepada dosen, tendik, dan mahasiswa.

“Apa yang baik harus diteruskan, dan tidak baik menjadi bahan evaluasi bersama. Dan peran bersama adalah kolaborasi dan sinergi, ke depan FST bisa tumbuh dan besar semakin baik, kami yang menjadi pengelola mulai dari dekan sampai sekjur, tugas utama kami adalah dosen. Jadi FST adalah rumah besar yang harus dirawat dan dibesarkan bersama,” paparnya.

Sementara Wakil Dekan III FST Dr. Aep Saepuloh, M.Si., mengajak sivitas akademika FST untuk melakukan refleksi dengan usia FST yang sudah berusia ke-17 ini.

“Sudah banyak yang dilakukan sejak para perintis FST sampai saat ini, dan sudah banyak prestasi dan kontribusi FST, namun tujuan kelahiran FST belum kita capai sepenuhnya. Karena itu kita secara sinergi harus terus meningkatkan kinerja dan istiqomah sehingga bisa berkontribusi terhadap kebangkitan umat,” terangnya.

Ketua Dewan Mahasiswa FST, Rizal Setiawan, mengatakan, rangkaian kegiatan ini selain diisi seminar dan FGD, dimeriahkan juga oleh pentas musik etnik ketuk tilu, musik band, dan tarian tarawangsa.

“Bagi saya kegiatan Dies Natalis merupakan program kerja yang terakhir Dewan Mahasiswa periode sekarang. Ketika awal menjadi pengurus Dewan Mahasiswa, langsung menggarap kegiatan secara langsung seperti PBAK, tapi semua kegiatan bisa diikuti dengan baik,” tuturnya.

Ketua Senat Mahasiswa FST, Dany Muhammad Ramdhani, menyatakan kegiatan dies natalis ini sebagai simbolisasi bahwa tupoksi Dewan Ekskutif Mahasiswa berjalan baik, mulai legislasi, penganggaran dan pengawasan pada kegiatan-kegiatan mahasiswa di FST.

“Mudah-mudahan FST terus berkembang ke arah yang lebih baik dalam menjalankan visi dan misinya untuk meraih semua yang dicita-citakan kita semua,” pungkasnya.
