JIKA kita berkunjung ke Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahurrahmah di Desa Giri Mekar, Kecamatan Cilengkrang, Kabupaten Bandung, kita akan menemukan kelompok pelajar yang asyik ngobrol, melingkar di taman masjid sekolah. Mereka menamakan dirinya Writing Class MTS IX tahun 2023. Kelompok pelajar ini dibimbing oleh Didi Supriadi, S.Pd.I.

Nah, hasil kumpulan setiap Rabu senja dan Kamis pagi dapat kita baca dalam buku “Sebuah Catatan Akhir Sekolah” yang diterbitkan oleh Value Institut Bandung.

Buku ini menceritakan tentang perjalanan mereka di sekolah, mulai dari awal sampai akhir. Tentunya berisi catatan yang sangat menginspirasi dan mengharukan tentang pengalaman mereka dalam menghadapi perjuangan, tantangan, dan kebahagiaan selama mengenyam pendidikan di sekolah.

Dari 10 penulis, membahas berbagai topik yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan, masa lalu, seperti persahabatan, cinta, kesuksesan, kegagalan, kisah sedih, masa senang, dan harapan di masa yang akan datang.

Uniknya, pengalaman pribadi yang sangat berharga dalam menghadapi semua tantangan dan kesulitan dalam menjalani kehidupan. Ada yang berhasil menyampaikan pesan yang sangat penting tentang arti persahabatan, keberanian, dan pengabdian dalam menjalani kehidupan.

Walhasil, buku ini mengajarkan kepada pembaca tentang pentingnya berjuang dan mengambil risiko untuk mencapai impian dan cita-cita. Ujungnya dapat memberikan gambaran soal pentingnya persahabatan dan dukungan dari keluarga dalam perjalanan hidup.

Kepala Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahurrahmah, A. Saepul Millah, S.H., mengungkapkan, sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang mengajarkan ilmu pengetahuan, harus berusaha untuk menggali, mengembangkan bakat dan minat siswa sesuai potensi. Sehingga, kelak menjadi pengalaman ilmu yang bermanfaat.

Kehadiran karya tulis literasi siswa-siswi ini yang awalnya dibuat dari catatan-catatan kecil, mulai dari buku diary, secarik kertas, hingga status media sosial yang dianggap sebagai curahan hati biasa secara manusiawi.

Namun, aktivitasnya setelah diamati, dirasakan dapat menjadi inspirasi kebaikan bagi yang lain. Untuk itu, guru dapat berinisiatif melalui bimbingan guru mengembangkan bakat keterampilan tersebut.

Dalam Kata Pengantar-nya, Wakil Dekan I Fakultas Ushuluddin UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Dr. Radea Yuli A. Hambali, M. Ag., menegaskan, bagi anak-anak yang lahir dari latar belakang yang kurang mampu, fasilitas dan kasih sayang adalah “kemewahan” tersendiri. Mereka tak jarang dihadapkan pada kenyataan yang sulit, tidak hanya kesulitan ekonomi tapi juga ada perlakuan-perlakuan yang tidak mengenakkan yang datang bahkan dari lingkungan terdekatnya.

“Buku ini adalah kisah tentang liku-liku hidup yang dituturkan dengan jujur oleh anak-anak yang sebagian besar datang dari keluarga yang kurang mampu. Saya harus menyebutnya jujur, karena mereka mengungkapkan apa yang mereka alami secara apa adanya. Mereka, sekalipun hidup dalam keadaan yang serba terbatas masih memiliki rasa empati dan simpati pada orang di sekitarnya,” katanya.

“Saya adalah seseorang yang tidak tega untuk menyakiti orang lain, namun kadangkala saya terlalu keras pada diri sendiri. Saya merasa empati terhadap kesulitan yang dialami orang lain apalagi jika itu kena kepada saudara atau teman-teman dekat saya, tetapi saya sering mengabaikan kesedihan dan luka yang saya alami sendiri,” sambung Radea.

Kejujuran itu juga nampak dari pengakuan seorang anak yang merasa ada perlakuan berbeda yang diberikan orang tuanya, “….munafik jika saya tidak ingin diperlakukan seperti pada adik saya, pikiran saya mungkin bisa saja mengatakan tidak apa-apa, akan tetapi jauh di lubuk hati yang terdalam, saya menginginkan juga mengharapkan kasih sayang dari sosok ayah, bukan sekedar keinginan tapi sangat mengharapkan dan merasakannya…”.

Atau tengok juga penuturan seorang anak yang jujur tentang inginnya diberi perhatian dan keinginannya untuk terus melanjutkan sekolah, “Ibu bahkan tidak mengkhawatir saya sedikit pun, ketika saya tidak pulang. Ibu hanya menanyakan ‘dari mana’, itu saja. Saya berpikir apakah ibu tidak memikirkan perasaan anaknya, ibu selalu saja mengatakan agar saya putus sekolah dan pergi bekerja untuk keluarga. Apakah ibu pernah berpikir bahwa dengan ibu mengatakan itu, ibu telah menyakiti hati putrinya”.

“Karena ibu tidak mengizinkan dan ayah saya pun sama, alasannya hanya satu, tidak ada biaya. Terkadang saya berpikir kenapa saya tidak bisa seperti orang lain yang apapun kemauannya selalu dituruti oleh orangtuanya kenapa saya tidak. Kenapa orang lain selalu mendapatkan apa yang mereka inginkan tapi kenapa saya tidak bisa”.

Kisah-kisah jujur dan polos yang dituturkan oleh anak-anak di buku ini tak seluruhnya menyuguhkan duka dan kesedihan. Ada juga yang menampilkan kesulitan dalam mengejar mimpi dan cita-cita.

Buku ini menyajikan pelajaran penting bagi siapapun. Terutama bagi orang tua, bahwa perlakuan dan kasih sayang yang diberikan adalah modal penting bagi pertumbuhan jiwa anak-anak.

Kisah-kisah jujur yang “ditumpahkan” anak-anak dalam buku ini adalah juga keberanian untuk mengungkapkan apapun. Mereka tidak diam dengan menyimpan persoalan yang dihadapi hanya untuk dirinya sendiri. Mereka berani mengabarkan dan menceritakannya. Hanya jiwa-jiwa yang beranilah yang sanggup mengungkapkan kisah hidupnya apa adanya!

Mereka boleh saja hidup dalam kekurangan. Kurang perhatian dari orang tua. Disepelekan teman. Atau harus menempuh jarak yang sangat jauh untuk bisa bersekolah. Tapi ternyata mereka adalah anak-anak yang sanggup mengisahkan hidupnya untuk jadi pelajaran bagi kita semua. (des)***
