ZONALITERASI.ID – Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa Kemendikbud Ristek, memerkuat kebijakan internasionalisasi bahasa Indonesia. Kebijakan yang ditempuh yaitu mendorong jejaring dan perkembangan Program Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA).
Diketahui, BIPA dimulai pada 2015 dan hingga 2020 sebanyak 370 pengajar telah bertugas mengajar 79.791 orang pemelajar BIPA di 206 lembaga di 30 negara di seluruh dunia.
Pada periode 1 Januari—30 April 2021, Badan Bahasa telah menugaskan 36 orang pengajar untuk memfasilitasi 61 lembaga di 24 negara. Di antara pengajar yang ditugaskan tersebut, terdapat 73 pengajar lokal BIPA yang merupakan warga negara asing dan diaspora Indonesia.
“Pendataan dan fasilitasi pengajar BIPA, baik di dalam maupun luar negeri terus kami lakukan untuk mengembangkan jejaring kemitraan nasional dan internasional supaya kita dapat mempercepat dan memperluas akses pelayanan pengajaran BIPA,” kata Kepala Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa, Prof. E. Aminudin Azis, saat berbincang kasual dengan para pengajar Program BIPA secara virtual, Rabu (30/6/2021). Acara dihadiri 500 peserta.
Menurutnya, pengajar BIPA adalah duta bahasa negara. Keberadaan, peran, dan pengaruh mereka, apa pun kewarganegaraannya patut untuk diapresiasi dan terus dimotivasi.
“Keberadaan pengajar BIPA, baik yang secara formal terafiliasi pada lembaga penyelenggara program BIPA maupun secara mandiri melaksanakan aktivitas pengajaran BIPA, merupakan akses dan aset diplomasi bahasa yang berharga dalam menyebarluaskan nilai-nilai keindonesiaan, serta mengenalkan jati diri bangsa Indonesia kepada masyarakat internasional,” kata Prof. Aminuddin.
Mendikbud Ristek Nadiem Anwar Makarim, mengapresiasi para pengajar BIPA, khususnya yang berkiprah di luar negeri atas dedikasi dan kinerja mereka mengembangkan bahasa Indonesia.
“Saya mengapreasiasi atas dedikasi para pengajar BIPA, terus berkarya dalam memperkenalkan bahasa Indonesia ke kancah dunia. Atas nama masyarakat Indonesia, saya mengucapkan terima kasih atas dedikasi Bapak dan Ibu sekalian,” tuturnya.
Kata Nadiem, peran pengajar BIPA lebih dari sekadar mengajarkan bahasa Indonesia. Pengajar BIPA adalah duta bangsa kita.
