Dari 1.154 sekolah dasar (SD) yang ada di Kota Bandung, hanya 10 persen atau 115 sekolah saja yang telah dilengkapi fasilitas kantin sehat, (Ilustrasi: Istimewa).

ZONALITERASI.ID – Dari 1.154 sekolah dasar (SD) yang ada di Kota Bandung, hanya 10 persen atau 115 sekolah saja yang telah dilengkapi fasilitas kantin sehat. Padahal, Dinas Pendidikan (Disdik) Kota Bandung mewajibkan sekolah menyediakan kantin sehat.

“Disdik Kota Bandung telah bekerja sama dengan UPT Puskesmas untuk melakukan monitoring dan evalusi kantin-kantin sekolah, dan mengarahkan agar dapat bertransformasi menjadi kantin sehat,” kata Sub Koordinator Kelembagaan dan Peserta Didik Sekolah Dasar Disdik Kota Bandung, Risman Al Isnaeni, dilansir dari Republika, Selasa, 8 Agustus 2023.

Dia mengungkapkan, sebenarnya, Disdik tidak memiliki wewenang untuk melakukan pengaturan pedagang jajanan di sekitar sekolah. Sebab, mereka berada di luar area sekolah.

“Untuk menertibkan pedagang jajanan ini sekolah berkoordinasi dengan kewilayahan,” katanya.

Risman meminta seluruh sekolah di Kota Bandung agar kembali menghidupkan kantin-kantin sehat, dengan lebih selektif dalam memiliki pedagang dan jenis makanan yang dijajakan di kantin sekolah. Upaya lain yang dilakukan adalah dengan mengedukasi pelajar tentang bahaya mengonsumsi makanan yang memiliki resiko buruk pada kesehatan.

“Kita juga dorong dengan program UKS (Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah) tiap tahun, dan sekarang arahnya banyak untuk kantin-kantin sehat,” pungkasnya.

Diketahui, Kementerian Kesehatan melaporkan terjadinya lonjakan tajam kasus diabetes pada anak di 2023. Peningkatan ini, berdasarkan data Ikatan Dokter Anak Indonesia (IDAI), 70 kali lipat lebih tinggi sejak 2010 lalu.

Data IDAI mengungkapkan, setidaknya ada 1.645 anak di Indonesia yang mengalami diabetes, didominasi oleh anak berusia 10 hingga 14 tahun. Salah satu upaya pencegahan untuk menekan lonjakan kasus diabetes melitus pada anak adalah dengan mengatur kadar gula, garam dan lemak. Sedangkan langkah lain yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan menyediakan fasilitas kantin sehat di sekolah-sekolah.

Ya, bagi anak-anak sekolah, makanan jajanan merupakan perkenalan dengan beragam jenis makanan sehingga menumbuhkan kebiasaan penganekaragaman makanan sejak kecil.

Dirilis dari laman Kementerian Kesehatan, ada beberapa syarat jajanan aman, yaitu tidak mengandung gula, garam, dan lemak berlebih; tidak mengandung MSG berlebih; tidak ada zat pengawet berbahaya. serta memiliki nilai gizi seimbang.

Jajanan yang aman sebaiknya disediakan dari rumah karena sudah mengetahui kualitas dari makanan tersebut dan kandungan gizinya. Namun, bila terpaksa harus membeli, berikut ini tips yang dapat dilakukan:

1. Sebaiknya membawa bekal dari rumah karena bisa mengontrol tentang kualitas makanan yang dibawa;

2. Memilih pangan dalam kondisi baik;

3. Belilah makanan ditempat yang bersih;

4. Memilih pangan dalam keadaan tertutup;

5. Hindari jajanan warna mencolok, rasa dan aroma menyengat;

6. Memperhatikan kualitas makanan;

7. Mengamati label makanan meliputi nama pangan olahan daftar bahan yang digunakan, expire date / keterangan kadaluwarsa, kode produksi, keterangan kandungan gizi;

8. Jika makanan basah perhatikan fisik dari makanan (bau dan warna).
