ZONALITERASI.ID – Destinasi wisata Puncak Bangku di Dusun Buni Hilir, Desa Situmandala, Kecamatan Rancah, Kabupaten Ciamis menjadi salah satu tujuan melancong favorit di Tatar Galuh. Hitsnya tujuan wisata yang berjarak sejauh 33 km dari Ciamis kota ini muncul sejak 2018.

Daya tarik dari Puncak Bangku yaitu munculnya julukan “Negeri di Atas Awan”. Di destinasi wisata ini wisatawan bisa menikmati keindahan panorama awan putih di pagi hari dari lokasi dataran tinggi.
Tak hanya itu, di kawasan ini, sejauh mata memandang, wisatawan akan disuguhi hamparan pegunungan nan indah. Gunung Pataka, Gunung Ciremai, dan Gunung Subang, terlihat teduh dirimbuni hijaunya pepohonan.
Lalu, aliran Sungai Cijolang yang terlihat berkelok-kelok bak ular pyton, menambah pesona lokasi ini.
Panorama indah ini tak hanya menarik wisatawan dari seputar Kabupaten Ciamis. Pengunjung dari luar Ciamis, mulai Tasikmalaya, Garut, Bandung, Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya hingga luar Jawa kerap datang ke destinasi wisata itu.
Bahkan, Puncak Bangku juga menarik perhatian turis asing seperti dari Australia, Prancis, dan Jepang.
Nah, ternyata, di balik makin terkenalnya Puncak Bangku, ada sosok yang berperan penting menata kawasan ini menjadi lokasi yang menyedot perhatian wisatawan lokal dan mancanegara.
Adalah Aji (51) dan Nana (51), warga Buni Hilir, Situmandala, Rancah, yang mengubah Puncak Bangku dari lokasi yang awalnya biasa-biasa saja, menjadi tempat yang diburu banyak pengunjung.
Menurut Aji, semula, Puncak Bangku sama sekali tidak terawat. Rumput-rumput liar bertebaran di mana-mana. Tempatnya pun kumuh dan kotor.
“Untuk suasana yang kemudian dikenal dengan nama ‘Negeri di Atas Awan’ ini sebenarnya dari dulu juga sudah ada. Semula itu dianggap sebagai hal yang biasa saja. Namun, ketika kami mulai membenahi tempat ini dengan cara membersihkan dan menyediakan saung-saung kecil untuk beristirahat, pengunjung mulai berdatangan. Lokasinya kami buat senyaman mungkin,” kata Aji kepada Zonaliterasi.id, baru-baru ini.
“Bersamaan dengan berdatangannya wisatawan, nama Puncak Bangku semakin dikenal, ketika ada pengunjung yang mengeshare keindahan tempat ini ke media sosial. Bahkan, kemudian Puncak Bangku juga diekspos oleh media cetak, media online, dan televisi,” sambungnya.
Ia mengungkapkan, melihat potensi Puncak Bangku, pemerintah pun mulai memberi perhatian. Mulai dari pemerintah tingkat desa, kecamatan, hingga tingkat kabupaten (Dinas Pariwisata Kabupaten Ciamis) datang meninjau tempat ini.
“Akses jalan ke Puncak Bangku yang semula hanya jalanan berbatu, kemudian mulai diaspal. Selain itu, pihak Dinas Pariwisata Kabupaten Ciamis beberapa kali memberi bimbingan seputar pengeloaan destinasi wisata kepada warga. Sehingga, wawasan warga tentang bagaimana mengelola tempat wisata jadi bertambah,” ujarnya.
Aji menambahkan, keberadaan Puncak Bangku yang semakin moncer di mata wisatawan, menjadi berkah bagi warga setempat. Roda perekonomian di wilayah ini semakin menggeliat. Warung-warung yang menyediakan cemilan-cemilan, makanan berat, hingga yang menjual aneka cendera mata bermunculan.
“Semoga ke depan Puncak Bangku makin berkembang. Warga kami makin ‘menikmati’ dari keberadaan tempat ini. Kesejahteraan warga makin meningkat,” pungkas Aji. (dede suherlan)***
