SUDAHLAH. Kali ini kuputuskan untuk membaca. Orang biasa membaca di rumah, bus, atau di tempat sepi. Aku ingin di sini, Perpusku.

Sudut rumah samping tangga. Bukunya baru dicek. Ganti seri. Ada kiriman dari penerbit di seputar Bandung. Dulu, buku datang dari tetangga yang anaknya kuliah di PTN terkenal. Ya, buku kami baca untuk mengisi waktu senggang. Bisa pagi, siang, sore, hingga menjelang tidur. Malam hari sepi. Aku baca terus hingga tiba rasa kantuk.

Hidupku tak bisa jauh dari buku. Walau kadang aku sendiri merasa kurang cepat mendapatkan bahan bacaan. Padahal obsesiku, mendirikan perpustakaan minimal di tiap kabupaten kota. Hebat.

Musti ada rekan sejawat. Begitu kata Andi. Ya, memang tak bisa berjalan sendiri.

Perlu modal. Kata teman yang lain.

Jadi ingat Amanto. Pun ingat Seno. Bahkan Pranoto di sana. Jika saja mereka mau diajak, tak mustahil buku kukumpulkan dan terwujudlah pustaka ideal. Satu saja dulu. Bisa di Kawung, Majingklak, atau Cukang Leuleus.

Siap? Ya, harus siap. Bukankah membaca itu penting. Apalagi di era sekarang yang serbabaru.

Informasi, inovasi, dan apapun peluang kehidupan ada di ranah bahan yang dapat terbaca. Bisa koran, majalah, buku, atau selebaran biasa. Bisa cetak ataupun elektronik. Semua memerlukan aktivitas positif via membaca. Menelaah, mengkaji, serta mendiskusikan. Ya, di perpustakaan.

Jika saja setiap kabupaten kota, bahkan hingga desa membiasakan kegiatan ini, rasanya negeri kita cepat maju. Besar harapan ketika kini Perpuseru berseru di mana-mana. Yang penting lebih meningkat lagi agar tidak sekadar saja.

Pustaka adalah wadah edukasi yang harus mampu membentuk karakter bangsa. Tapi tidak membuat formalitas belaka. Sayang bila ide besar ini membuat jenuh dan terhalang karena bosan atau kurangnya buku bacaan. Sayang sungguh bila kreativitas ini tak menjadikan manusia lebih arif dan religius. Membaca hendaknya jadi ajang melepas segala hal yang negatif.

Berdakwah via perpus sangat efektif andai semua paham akan makna ikro yang sebenarnya.***
